Koi eh aakhe paan beerhi te sigrat munh vich pana paap; Koi samajhda maas meet de tukrhe nun hath lana paap. Koi eh samjhe kise da jootha khana ate khilana paap; Koi eh samjhe bande agge ja ke sees nivana paap. Some think that the use of betel, cigarette or beedi is a sin; Some think that to touch a piece of meat is a sin. Some think that to take or offer the half-eaten portion of the meal is a sin; Some think that to bow one's head before a human being is a sin; The whole world is engrossed in the wrangles over what is virtue and what is sin; Avtar says, only such soul is saved as has recognized God. |
Meaning
In this verse, Shehenshah Baba Avtar Singh Ji explains how people all over the world are fighting in the name of religion. Baba Ji says some think that it is a sin (is bad) to eat betel (paan) or smoke cigarettes. Some think it is a sin to touch meat or fish. Some think it is a sin to eat or share food from the same plate. Some think it is a sin to touch another’s feet. Baba Ji says while the world is busy in fighting over what is a sin and what is good then only those souls are saved who attain God-Knowledge.
